hang on. Do you think things will improve. Are prices reflecting the worst case scenario?

Things should improve ....eventually. Shares are usually a long term investment but it depends where your's are invested.
If we could predict the stock market, we would be rich.
Easy -over a period of time it will always go higher
Not true ^
This question depends very much on what you have invested in. A small company may not recover, and it may be advisable to dump the shares before the company goes into administration. However larger companies may be able to steer through the storm and if you don't need the money then it may be wise to hang on. One can't really answer the question though without knowing what shares you have.
Ah you mean the stock market?

Not all shares will recover. The question isn't really answerable
It does depend on the company, but a general answer is take advice and hold or buy rather than sell at the moment.
When do you need to cash in? If it’s in the next 3 months I’d sell. If it’s in the next 3 years, I’d hold on.
You can't just say 'buy'! What if the OP decides to buy shares in a retail company and it goes T's up?
Try and find out which businesses Rees-Mogg and his company (SCM) are buying into and switch your money there :-/
Good Advice Ken lol!
I suggested to

//take advice and hold or buy, rather than sell//

I certainly wouldnt recommend doing anything without some professional advice. Especially at the moment.
