Contract signing for my house with the buyer is imminent but I've had to take a 5k hit due to issues identified as a result of the structural survey. That's 2.5k off the asking price as they put in an offer of 2.5k over.
Anyhoo, I've viewed several houses in the last few months many of which were not to my liking. The online photos can be quite misleading. I'm off to view a house today which has got an annex with bedroom, living room and shower room which they describe as a wet room. Perfect for when my parents or anyone else comes to stay. The price is just right and it's in a little cul-de-sac. Hope it meets my expectations.
House selling and buying is quite stressful and exhausting. Well for me it has been anyway. Can't wait till it's all over....
I would like to see a ban on wide-angled lens use by estate agents! Some are so bad that you can almost see a curve on the walls!
Good luck, it can be a pain, when we were selling it took almost 4 years due to local issues, when we got an offer we had nothing to buy so it was off in the car, pdq. The house we bought we took all of 5 minutes to decide on it so it does happen quickly sometimes!
Often rooms are too small to use a std lens. Plus they are usually not photographers just some youth with a phone who probably has no idea of perspective.
House buying is only stressful if you are buying and selling your own. We bought 3 houses in one day once, didnt get stressed at all. But mine .....
It's an empty property but given all the questions I've had from my buyers Sols I will be asking exactly the same stuff. Will find out later if it's still under ownership or repossession etc.
Try to look at it in terms of potential...what it can be over time.
Very few houses look like forever homes on first viewing.
House buying and selling is said to be in the top 10 of the most stressful things we do in life.
When I bought this flat, ex and I were selling our house, and he was also purchasing. It was tense to say the least.
This is the first house I'm seeing which is empty. Really looking forward to it :o) once this is over, I hope to be there till I retire and move to the coast somewhere.
