I have my first B2L property (no mortgage) and I am thinking of getting another property but I will need to get a deposit by mortgaging my first and then getting another mortgage for the second. Does anyone have any advice on finding a mortgage advisor - what kind of questions should I ask? I’m thinking that one who charges a fee will be better than one who works on commission.

Thanks in anticipation for any help you can give

peobably depends on the man

I used RBS who were hopeless - yes I did tell them and they said "no we are very good - we judge ourselves you know"

my two nwphews used two difft mortgage advisers and found them very good - but that may be their mwah mwah manner when they are eyeing the fee/commission

having to mortgage onw prop to get another MAY provide them with further income opportunities - hard to interpret rules about this

and yeah you have got the idea of
will they give advice which is very good for them and not so good for me?
but life is like this innit? ( one colleague for 20 y and on review last night I cd not recollect any decision that did not do him a lot of good)
