Anyone Know About A Diesel Claim Company Advertising On Tv?

I haven't seen the advert and don't know the name of the company but from I'm told it sounds like a claims company getting compensation for owners of diesel cars on a no win no fee basis.

Alarm bells are ringing but one of my relatives is very keen on the idea. Any help much appreciated. Not sure if this should be in law or motoring.

I saw the advert. Apparently if you were lied to about the performance of your diesel car in terms of emissions in certain years then you may be able to claim compensation. like the PPI claiming, I look somewhere like the Money Expert to see if you can make the claim yourself. I guess it can't hurt to investigate but sign nothing, pay nothing, give no payment details

trouble is this (these?) firms want personal data from you before they will say if you have a claim or not. You can't check anonymously.

Toyota (& lots of other makes) aren't in the list so presumably have had no claims lodged.
