Where Are The Prize Winners Cheques

I Too won the SKELETON on 20th JUNE
Having made a contact I receive a belated phone call from a chap called Oliver who told me there
was a problem with the contractors who process the CHEQUES but not to worry that was being sorted. This call was made to me over three weeks ago but still no joy
I will now try the number 0208612700. Incidentally, just as an aside regular competitors may recall that a long time ago there were runner-up prizes for the GK £1000 but I do not recall that SX notified us but merely discontinued.!!!

i've had similar problems getting my hands on a winner's cheque from a national newspaper, which seems puzzling considering i'm talking about fifty quid . . .

Still awaiting My £25 cheque from 15th August. The information, at the bottom of the crossword, states, "Please allow 30 days for prizes to arrive."
Why should the process take so long?
Yes, the SX were very naughty in dropping the nine runners-up prizes without explanation. Mind you, the Liverpool Echo Football Pink had two £10 prizes for a weekly sports quiz. I regularly won on this. Then the prizes stopped but the quiz continued - no explanation.
I once entered a difficult sports quiz of 30 questions with a good prize, in a local rag. There was no mention of it after the closing date so I went into the paper's offices to enquire. I was informed that this was a generic quiz published in all its sister's papers, throughout the north-west and that my particular rag had no intention of following it up with a list of answers or prizes!

Earlier this year I had a £25 cheque come through my letter box as a runner-up in the Sunday Express Skeleton before my name actually appeared in the paper ! ;o)

thanks to the further reports. IS IT POSSIBLE FOR SOMEONE IN AUTHORITY TO " HAVE A GO AT THE SX" ARE THEY CONTRAVENING THE "SALE OF GOODS ACT" OR "THE TRADE'S DESCRIPTION ACT" BY NOT KEEPING THEIR PROMISE TO PAY ???

I also was missing a £25 Skeleton Cheque since end of June - I emailed “[email protected]”
and received a response from Oliver Bray, he offered to pay the money direct to my bank account - and did just that the following day. Hope this helps !
