Communication With Boots
10 Answers
For the last few days i have been tring to place an order online with Boots. I think they are running their website on a ZX81 because their response time is that of a tortoise on valium.
i've tried phoning them and after 30 minutes of mind-numbing music, given up and phoned the Samaritans instead. i would like to write to them but their website does not display an address.
Has anyone an idea as to how to contact them (Their livechat doesn't work either) other than driving to Nottingham? Their slogan is "Let's feel good". Huh! Thanks in advance, Roc

Many thanks for your help. I used Chrome instead of my usual Firefox and the order took seconds. I take back everything I said about them.
Apologies for the lower case "i"s in my original question; I'm used to Word doing it for me. If someone could give me a simpleton's guide to clearing the cache in Firefox, I would be extremely grateful. Many thanks Roc

Hi Buenchico. Thanks for that. It is such that even an idiot can understand it. I have printed it out and will follow it slavishly. My son, who is a techie for the University of the West of England calls me a technophobe and if I phone him he always answers "TSG" (Technical Support Group". I try not to phone him because I think his mother tongue is either binary or hex and I could have a more meaningful conversation with a Klingon. Again, many thanks, Roc
Hey, the first computer I owned was a ZX81, it booted almost instantly and did not take an age to launch a program. Sinclair even offered to provide a free replacement of the main logic chip which contained computational errors.
I dream of a PC running Microsoft software in such a manner (as a ZX81), and the company offering a free replacement of any software with bugs.
