There are those who, once elected into office, barely go through the motions and are rarely seen and heard until elections approach. Then there are those who are totally dedicated to serving their constituencies, often going above and beyond. Yet both are paid the same.
Considering the top nobs at the other national institution (the BBC) are getting up to 40% pay rises I think MPs are relatively underpaid - however, there doesn't seem to be any problem regarding recruitment and retention!
