Meanwhile the Royal Mail Chief Executive Officer’s (Simon Thompson) latest bonus is worth 27% (£142,000), despite seriously missing service targets.
I’m sorry, I don’t care about the CEOs etc. I care about my post being delivered and my postman being treated well.
However, everyone is going on strike because their pay rises don’t match inflation. Well, isn’t that the same for all working people?
We can’t all go on strike or the country would fall apart. I’m a lefty, but this is doing my nut in.
Actually the offer in private eye has been improved abit and is 9% over 18 months. Not to shabby... more than most of us is getting....but yes we'd all like more
Royal Mail bosses also trying to shift business away from letters to parcels and stop the Saturday delivery to domestic properties. Parcels are more lucrative.
When someone believes they are underpaid for their talents, why don't they apply for a job for which they are better suited, and free their job for somebody who would appreciate it?
The post service has to adapt to the new way of communication. Emails have all but put paid to a regular mail service and tbh, I wouldn't even know they were on strike if it wasn't for the news telling me.
