My mate Phil explains that the Labour government have now added Building Products that no longer require the UKCA mark (and we will be using the European CE mark instead).

The UKCA mark had already been abandoned by the Tories for many product categories – but not Building Products or Medical Devices.  Phil makes no mention of Medical Devices, and I have been unable to confirm that the UKCA mark has been dropped for Medical Devices.

Bear in mind that UKCA can take over a year and cost well in excess of £100k to gain Notified Body approval for a single Medical Device – costs which manufacturers had to bear if they want to sell in the UK.

Hopefully this is not an oversight, and the UKCA mark has also been abandoned for Medical Devices.

Building Products that no longer require the UKCA mark

o come on come on. this was widely predicted ( and therefoer accepted by the voter) in  2016. In order to trade with the Eu we wd have to conform to their rules only now, we wdnt have a say

no news there

just depressing " we all told you so"

Your mate Phil is a prat.

why thank you DD - your one liners are er ( worthy of an 11 y old)

Again, bee all to do with Brexit. It's your Labour government in charge now.

I'm with you Hymie ideologically, I voted remain and I wish we were still in the club, BUT the difference is I respect democracy whereas you don't.

With this far left Government in power we now have more things to worry about than your warped view on Brexit.

But Phil is still a prat.

looks like a radicalised 5C lefty love in.

o come on that isnt democracy

The tories having been wiped out, havent trooped into  the HoC and said - "the people have spoken we now should spend the next four years voting for the labour measures"

no they do not -  the duty of his maj's opposition is to oppose

Only where it makes sense. It would be ridiculous to oppose what is beneficial and has the public's support.

The majority of the electorate now realise that Brexit was a mistake and want us to re-join the EU – to Brexiteers, it is un-democratic to allow the majority to prevail.

One can not realise that which is untrue. Consequently there is no one in the UK that can consider Brexit a mistake, merely some minority deluded into thinking it was, driven by their initial objection to their nation being in control of it's own affairs.

o old geezer you naughty ex imperialist ! - you are in love with thos lovely blue passports and being on the outside of everything....

we must never forget those

– to Brexiteers, it is un-democratic to allow the majority to prevail.

Hi me  ! No it is one of those odd questions where you go on asking it and voting, and then when you get the answer you want ( go no 10 or 11), here Brexit, - you say
