Always play to your strengths, and play down your weaknesses, so you need to stress that you have appropriate experience with strong admin. skills and database knowledge. Add to that how keen you are to expand your experience, and your ability to asimilate new tasks quickly. You are quick to learn, and methodical, and always reliable, and will be available as required.
I know that as an English person (I assume?) this self-aggrandisment does not come natrually, but it has to be done. Strike a fine line between being confident that you are what they are looking for, but don't imply that their job is a doddle.
Rehearse with someone first, and have your answers prepared.
Relax, look them in the eye, and you'll fly it!
Good luck!
What does the job description say about the level of knowledge. Do you have a job spec. which would tell you the desirable and essential skills for the job? Look at the job description and have an answer for every element of it if you can. If you havent got exact experience then find something you have done that is similar.
Personally, I dont think there is anything wrong with saying the job suits your lifestyle i.e. child in school. I interview for school staff all the time and this wouldnt put me off but I would be a little concerned if it was the first thing that came out of your mouth when asked. However, if you say for example "the job sounds varied and interesting and of course the hours suit because I have a young child at school" etc etc.
