Engagement ring too small
Hi all, I didn't know what section to put this in so feel free to report and send me elsewhere if it's wrong!
I am getting married in 5 weeks and didn't know (don't yell at me) that you have to have a 'bare' finger to put the wedding ring on, in that I intended to wear my wedding and engagement ring on the same finger. Ok... so the dilemna is since getting engaged 2 years ago (when the ring was already a size too small) I have put on ....erm.... well let's just say I've put some weight on and I can't get the engagement ring off!! What do I do? Will it need to be cut off? If it is can it be fixed and stretched so that I can wear it again? HELP!!
Oh and I've tried baby oil and greasy stuff, was going to try ice tonight so if anyone has other ideas from that aspect about removing the ring myself without having to cut off my finger that would great too.
Thanks X

lmao @ the swollen sausage
It's white gold. Couldn't I cut it off myself? What sort of tool would you use? I just read on a web site that I could try tying string through the ring and tie it then wrap the string tightly around my finger, hopefully the ring should slide over the string. I shall try that tonight, failing that it will be a fairly embarrassing trip to A&E for me this weekend ;-)
Hopefully my finger won't drop off because I think that's what they do to lambs to make their tails fall off.
just leave it on! its your wedding you can do whatever you wan't!
however you could try making your hand very cold as this will reduce it slightly.
also wiggle it on a bent finger - not straight
if it comes down to it you could turn the diamond under to your palm and put a strip of an elastoplast over the metal to disguise it.
