Where has my money gone?

I paid my Out of School Club twice by cheque and it has been cashed out of my account, but they are saying that they have not recieved it and want paying again, my bank is no help, what can i do?

contact your bank and ask them for a copy of your cheque. They will definitely have this but they may charge a fee for providing it to you (you shouldbe able to negotitate no charge).

Contact the club and explain to them that it has gone out of your account and insist that they write to you to confirm that they haven't received this as you will be reporting the missing cheque to the police as obviously someone has fraudulently taken money out of your account.

Sit back and wait for the club to apologise as they have had the money.

Thanks for your advice iv already done everything you suggest apart from the police, I didn't think they wpuld be able to do anything.

Are you in the UK? And if you have a copy of your cheque, your bank will be able to see whose account has been credited.

Give the photocopy of the cheque to your school so that they can give it to *their* bank to investigate and correct.
All you need from your own bank is this photocopy.
