ISA Advice
1 Answers
Please help. I need an answer in plain English. I am ex forces and work abroad in the security industry. I spend about 80 days a year in the UK. I have looked at the Inland Revenue Website to see if I am ordinarily resident, resident or an alien. The result is I don't actually know if I am even human or which way is up. Can anyone explain what I am. (keep it clean please!) All I want to do is open an ISA, can I do this? The paperwork says you have to be a resident for tax purposes. I don't pay tax on my overseas cash but do on my UK income. Anyone shed any light?
