Hi all - Iv just been asked something that i dont know - If someone has a landline phone and a contract mobile, assuming that the bills are paid on time, does this show on your credit score that you are a good payer? I wasnt sure, because the agreement never finishes, just 'keeps going' if you know what i mean. Thanks. PM

A mobile will often show on your credit file - a landline does not (well not that I have seen anyway).
If you have a history of frequent address changes Sometimes a land line is used as evidence that you are "settled" in your present home. I suppose the rationale is that if you intend on flitting again sooner rather than later you won't go to the trouble of having a phone line installed, or a dormant line switched to your name.
