I've never played the stocks and shares market but have read several times recently that water will be the new commodity of the future in place of oil. Therefore is it possible to buy shares in a water company. Does this make financial sense to anybody - I wouldnt be able to invest a large amount but would it be worth my while?
Water will be the new commodity for a little while because coming soon, you will be able to get your water from the same way as you get gas and electric from a variety of different places. Where as you only used to get you electric from one local company, gas from another, telephone was always BT, the way it was years ago...its just water will be catching up. Soon Im hoping to get gas, electric, water & telephone calls from the one company....
The fact that youre asking if its possible to buy shares in water companies suggests to me you are not ready to play the stockmarket. Too many people admit too late that they didnt understand what they were getting into or blame bad advice when ultimately the buyer is responsible for the decision.
If youre this unsure, you can only afford to dabble if you can afford to lose the money.
