my ex partner left the home 15 years ago. we tried 3 times to remove him from the mortgage but mortgage company wouldnt do it as i was on state benefits. i am now selling and he wants half the profit. can he take half? he has made no payments toward the mortgage in this time or any payments towards the upkeep of the property. there was never any mention of wanting any payment when he wanted to remove his name from the mortgage, now there is talk of profit, he wants half of it.
