You are 100% correct. Please forward my 200 fee within 7 days......any further reminders will be of the same amount.
Find a cheaper solicitor - very few, especially outside London, charge as much as you quote.

Find a no-win, no fee one.
no win, no fee solicitors only work on cases where an insurance company is involved and they are more or less guaranteed to win - road traffic accidents and the suing of councils and businesses for personal injury claims.

Anything else and you are on your own.

What sort of case is it?
try getting legal advice elsewhere ie "citizens' advice bureaux" is a very good place initially Do you have a union that could help? otherwise I'm afraid it's go it alone !! remember the MacDonalds Two ? they took on the might of MacDonalds by themselves but ended up with the longest court case in legal history ( with a partial victory) so unless you are willing to spend time and money and doing a lot of research I think the only way is to bite the bullet and pay but it depends on how serious you are.........
