I am desperately trying to drag myself out of Debt. I am consolidating and moving to a Smaller Rented Room instead of a Flat, to reduce my Outgoings. Does anyone have any Hints & Tips to get out of Debt in less than 5 Years??

Well, I Work for The Insolvency Service of HMRC so No, I really don't want an IVA or Bankruptcy as I know exactly what both involve. I am able to Pay my Debts at the Rate they are asking each Month but what I wanted was Hints and Tips on how to Pay more each Month, like getting out quicker by getting better Deals or something. Sorry if that wasn't clear!!

That's okay In A Pickle, you weren't to know. That's Part of the Reason I wanna clear them ASAP as well as I don't wanna be made Bankrupt as I'd be moved out of my Job faster than you can say Insolvency!!!!
I think I am just gonna aim to Pay more each Month and Face that it is gonna be hard for a while!!

hello. work out the apr on each debt. pay the minumum monthly payment on the lowes ones & plough all your spare cash into the highest apr. when thats paid put the extra into the next highest & so on. will save a lot in interest. only consider consolidating with a loan if you are responsible enough not to get into more debt (can you tell ive been burned!)
If you have credit card debt then take advantage of 0% transfer offers ......... At least every penny you pay will come off your outstanding amount & none is took in interest. When that card(s) offer is coming to an end transfer again to a different card.
Not checked out either of the following links but hopefully you may find something of use to you ................ Good Luck :)
