Who will give me a mortgage for shared ownership??

Does anyone know who does Mortgages for people who want to buy a shared ownership home? And for people who have bad credit. I'm desperate! please help!!!

Preferred mortgages do this but I don't think you can do it direct so go to your local friendly mortgage broker.

Seem ti ve following Evergreen around this afternoon!! But anyway, yes, go to your local broker. Mine is extremely good and can get better discounts therefore better rates than I can going direct. And so far they have never let me down - always managed to get me and my folks/friends brilliant mortgages no matter what.

That's OK Ali - I was going to go for the EverGreen handle but thought it sounded like a detergent. As you say brokers are usually the answer and will not only find the best deal, but know the nuances in the market to be able to find a lender that will consider any "out of the ordinary" circumstances.

Hi Everclean - yup, always go through brokers even for car insurance - just can't beat their prices. Anyway apologies to c.shallow for us hi-jacking this thread. But if you want to email my brokers - just to see what they can offer if you like - then email them at [email protected]. It'll be Susi or Derren that replies and they are the bees knees!! At the mo my bf & I have an assortment of 4 mortgages with them - all weird and wonderful varities!! And I know they can arrange shared ownership morgages.
