get a credit card with no credit history

th best thing to do is to approach your own bank and then run up some bills on the credit card they provide you, and pay them off to build up a credit history.
I thought you had a mortgage though? your mortgage provider may be able to help you with a credit card, depending on who they are (bank or buliding society) and with the mortgage you will have some history of credit wont you? (i think i was speaking to you before about going to oz?)

yeh it was me i get around mate, my bank wont give me a credit card they say i have bad credit history :-s

try capital one, they seem to give credit cards to just about anyone (no offence implied!)

Know what you mean about capital one- they keep sending me stuff in the post asking me to apply for a card even though I already have one with them!
