hi i am considering studying economics and to enhance my personal statement, i thought id join a society to help prepare me for the course, could anyone recommend any decent societies- suitable for my age (18)

I wouldn't bother joining one if I were you......buy the Economist a few times and have a read. If you like it, join a society, if not don't waste your money....i'd imagine you'll be given a suitable amount of guidance when you go on to study it, so I wouldn't worry about a society! Especially if you're only 18!

cheers, i already read the economist, pretty useful. The reason why i brought up societies is i was reading some amazing ucas forms and they kept mentioning membership of societies, just showing off really, any way thnaks
