can anybody tell me what is the best I can hope for in court after my divorce and the house is sold? My ex will have custody of our children but I need a deposit on somewhere new so I can have them to stay overnight.

You may find that as your partner (I hate that term!) will have custody of the children, that they will be allowed to stay on in the house until the youngest child is 16. It should be decided by the court. Do you have a solicitor, if so what does he/she say?
