An inexpensive silver bracelet or necklace would be a nice gift for a little girl - something for them to wear on special occassions and something for them to keep later on in life. An alternative would be a nice collection of hardback books with a personal inscription (Aesops Fables, CS Lewis, Winnie the Pooh, Hans Christian Anderson etc.) The parents can read them as bedtime stories until they are old enough to read for themselves
My ideology is that such gifts will last for many years to come and will remain constantly popular in a world where childrens toys come and go with the seasons.
