Depends how much paperwork you need to book-keep. You can set up a perfect set of accounts on excel. If you a running a very small business it would probably be a waste of money to buy software. If you really want to get software I think quick book is fairly cheap compared to sage.

Quick books, in my opinion, is not very good. If you can afford it Sage instant accounts is good. But as Ummmm says, accounts can be set up on excel. here's one on ebay
