gift of legacy money & divorce
Last year my wife rec'd 80k from her mum which was left to her mum in a will. We used this money along with the proceeds from out previous property to purchase a new family home. She has now left me and is talking about getting the money back from the sale of the home. I agree that we should split the equity in the home equally but is she entitled to have that 80k back first. Thanks

Oh well there must be a village somewhere missing an idiot. Maybe you should apply.
I will have a very happy life, in a nice semi detached house seeing my kids every couple of weeks. I have a nice car and a nice motorbike and a good job.
I also dont have the type of mind that enjoys revelling in the misfortune of others.
Best of luck with your future in the village that you choose to apply for!!

If you knew what you were talking about then maybe I would take your comments seriously instead of just laughing at them. If you had bothered to read any of the previous stuff on this topic you would have noticed that I had already booked a "free" appointment to see a solicitor and then to instruct one on my behalf. I only wanted to know if anyone had ahd any experience of this subject to make myself better prepared. As for not liking me, I dont really care. Its just a shame that such a good website is detracted from by persons such as yourself who have a malicious and downright rude nature. You know nothing about me or my situation. I wont bother replying to anymore of your replies because frankly you are not worth the time.
I really do hope that you never find yourself in the situation that I am in because it is really worrying place to be and is not helped by malicious and rude posts.

As i said before i own my own home, my girlfriend owns her own home, i don't want to get married and i don't like kids.
I have a good job and a nice car too (and i can even afford the luxury of paying for my legal advice) So nochance of finding myself in your sad little situation.
People like you make me sick. You're so full of arrogance and you deserve everything you've got coming to you.
Silly little man.
