How would I go about getting the value of my house?

We bought it last year for a reduced price because the sellers were getting divorced and wanted a quick sell.

We're now wondering what its value will be and if it'll be worth remortgaging it next year.

Do I need to get an Estate Agent in to do a valuation?

if there is someone else with a similar house in similar condition to yours nearby you could look and see how much it sold for on one of the house price websites, if there is anything for sale nearby you could estimate from that
I would get three estate agents in a they do differ between them - it wont cost you and each house is different so you'll get an accurate valuation.

on this site you can check what value the properties in your own road sold for and get an idea of how much your's may be worth.
