Bank jobs your best bet!
Try welcome finance or provident personal credit. They are always looking to help, although their rates are quite high.

Borrowing from them and making payments on time will rebuild your credit and make it possible to orrow at better rates in future.

Both are listed in Yell.com
Nobody NEEDS to borrow money for Xmas.

We are all lead to believe that you can only have a good Xmas if you spend a lot of money. It is in the shops interest to tell us this so we all go out and overspend.

If you have not got the money, and have bad credit, then I think you need to learn to live without overspending.

If your partner, family, or children expect expensive presents then tell them you are broke and just buy them a token present, or make them something.

Dont let the Xmas industry tempt you to overspend.

Last year my wife and I said we would see what we could buy each other for a maximum of ten pounds.

I hunted round "its a pound" and "crash bang wollop" shops and managed to get her 10 presents. She did the same for me.

We both thought it was great and made a nice change.
Please think twice about getting a provident loan - the interest is 177%!!! a friend of mine collects the money for them, and although it's a quick cash fix, it takes forever to pay back. Please be careful because it seems a really big hole to dig just to have money for Christmas - you'll be paying it off for months
Best thing to do is, knowing that Christmas happens at exactly the same time every year, to maybe think about saving like the rest of us have to. Maybe becoming more responsible and saving money would in fact raise your credit rating as well. Two birds with one stone.

Thanks to bradtheman for his answer. I did not know christmas happened at the same time every year.If onlyreal life was that simple.
You might like to try a family member, but remember not to borrow off the person the present is for as they might twig although if you cant pay them back they might write off the debt on virtue of owning the goods.
Good luck
Great answer the Mack. Maybe a calender to remind yourself of when it is every year would be a good investment for Chaperone too! Ha ha

Thanks brad. I can see you will be able to help with my next question on smugness.
Not smugness. Realism/Common Sense/Knowledge maybe.

Look I am an ex bankrupt and know that if you start robbing Peter to pay Paul, you are on a downward spiral. Do and buy what you can afford, if ya can't afford it don't do it or buy it. Its not smugness my friend just common sense. I wish somebody had been so blunt with me before going down for 25k
Yes chaperon2005, some people (brad) must be so clever. it must be so boring for him going through life being so perfect! i wonder how he might deal should life take a wrong turn?
oh looks like we posted at the same time. i wonder how long he served for his crime was 25k worth going to jail for brad Not so clever now eh?
criminals eh? one rule for them. who does this bradtheman think he is?
My time served is that I now can not buy a house for 6 years, I had a number of valuable items takenb from me, including a car. I did a stupid thing and now wish I could turn back time. However bankruptcy is not a crime, so no time was served for this the mack. My intention is not to be smug, just purely to state that nobody "Needs" money for xmas. people Want money for xmas.
Wow lots of Xmas cheer with these posts, but unfortunately bradtheman like you I know when xmas falls and so I saved for 8 months with a company called Farepack. Merry Xmas. As for chaperon2005, please be carefull with loan sharks some have big bats and depending on how much you need, see if you have any old stuff in the loft and get it on ebay.
sorry Bradtheman going down for 25k threw me.
nuff respect to you Pharlap, I hope that you get something back, theiving ********! Have a good christmas all
