My family had fish and chippies for years (my grandparents and their brothers and sisters ) No cheesy names though I'm afraid they were just plain 'Morgans'
My nan was terrible though they didn't make any money as she used to feel sorry for some of the poor people who came in and gave a lot away free and larger portions for people she liked more than others. My grandpa hated the smell of curry though and refused to serve curry sauce with chips so kept it very old fashioned.
I used to have fish and chips every Saturday when I visited them - yummmyyyy!!!! Great childhood memory!

Yes, you Morgans have been here in the USA for a couple of centuries I think - a lot of my own ancestry is from your part of the world too - Wales, England, Finland maybe, Sweden maybe, etc. As in Laymon, Gann, Rodgers, Conway (Conaway), etc.
