I am 17 and currently doing my A levels. How can I get work experience at Canary Wharf or Citigroup because all I can find are permanent full-time jobs.

Have you tried writing to some companies and/or sending in your CV? Work experience isn't generally advertised the same way as permanent jobs.

Exactly, CheekyChops. Companies will think a lot more of someone who actually does a bit of research, puts in a bit of foot work and has the drive to actually get off his or her backside and be proactive. That, after all, is what winning in business is all about.
