I would like to find out if my insurance company have to inform me if they change the date or the amount that they take money from my bank. If they should inform me but i have received nothing am i covered under the Direct Debit Guarantee.

Yes they have to inform you.

You are covered by the guarantee if they don't.

But you still owe the money if you ask your bank for it back.

They are supposed to give you 14 days notice.
