when you apply for a mortgage what income do they count is it only money you have coming in from working or do they include things like child tax credit and working tax credits etc , thanks for any advice

Most companies will include all your income - including benefits.

You will often need to fill in an income / expenditure sheet and this ill show all your incomes.
