Jobs in Spain
I have been living in Andalucia between Granada and Malaga for four years. In this time I have more or less working and paying into the Spanish system. I am a time served maintenance engineer with more than 20 years experience in most fields of engineering from plant maintenance in a high speed production environment to reasearch and development for a global market leader in the road transport industry. Since moving to Spain I have been prepared to take on more or less any job to support my family therefore I have worked, collecting olives which here in Spain is big business, as a supermarket delivery driver, which taught me how to drive spanish and helped me learn more of the language. Getting back to engineering I have worked for a sub-contract company for Repsol and various other petrochemical companies installing and maintaining fuel oil deposits and anciliary equipment , after this I worked in a local quarry maintaining the quarry vehicles and the quarry gravel plant as well as driving a class C articulated tipper that fed the gravel plant . I now work for an ornamental steel fabrication company which installs the aformentioned steel on the houses of the Spanish equivalent of Wimpey. Before I get to the point of this I apologise for this being long winded but if you`ve stopped reading this I don`t think you would be any help to me. The point is all of the above jobs do not pay enough to support any sort of life here in the sun, which may sound whinging but I deserve to do something Iam capable of and to be paid accordingly. Does any body know of an online recruitment site or company that offers normal jobs for normal people , because all the ones I seem to encounter are aimed at University Grads with lots of bits of paper and very little practical experience . Please anybody wih any relevent information apart from coming back to UK to work would be greatly appreciated . NEDZ
