hi all ,i bought a car privately on the 27/01/07, done a hpi check on the 26th but come back clear no finance on the vechile .since then i've sold the car to a garage but been told the car has finance .the hpi check i done was with the AA finding it hard to get any joy with the AA as you get an insurance when you purchase a copy of the hpi cost of �37 .can any one help me on which i can get help from some legal people.thanks

I find it difficult to believe that having given you their professional advice that they can then deny iability when it goes wrong. I have heard that professionals can be held liable, even for advice given informally round the dinner table. Exclusion clauses are not legal in some cases. I am not a lawyer but I think you might get some support if you post this in the Law section. Small Claims Court might be the route to go.
