Hello
I'm a poor citizen that can only afford to buy my first property in Brazil. It will cost about 40K but I will not live there, it will be rented out.

My bank will only lend me the money if I decide to live there; and I can only get about 25K on a normal loan.

Does anyone know how of ANY British bank/building society that can give me a mortgage for that property?

Many thanks

Probably not a high street bank for Brazil. Speak to a reputable mortgage broker - they can work this out with you - you may be able to raise the money but usually only approx 75% of the purchase price.
If you are a 'poor citizen' a high risk proposition such as this is really not for you. Steer well clear.
On a par with investing in Bulgarian ski resorts with global warming around the corner.
