Downloading files to memory card

I have been downloading music and video files to a memory card for my phone, some of the files play but some don't even appear on my phone when I put the memory card in even though the others do appear. I can't find any difference between the files, and have saved them to the same format. When I put memory card back in card reader, on the PC it says the files ARE on the card, and even when I try to download them a 2nd time they just replace the original file, but still does not appear when I put the card back into my phone.

I'm not that good with this sort of thing so if you need to know phone model, memory card type, etc let me know. TIA x

Hi, if the fies are the same format and they have been tested and work? Then chances are they are on your phone in a different folder, you may have to select them and name a play list for the media player to acknowledge their existence, on my brothers phone i had to go to the memory card (from the phone) and search the files and tick boxes to add them to a play list before they could be played.
