My son has just been the victim of credit card fraud, a lot of money has been taken out of his bank account. The Abbey says it takes two weeks for the process to go through, is he likely to get his money back from the bank?

Sorry, don't understand.

You say credit card fraud - how come the money has been taken from his bank account ???

If the bank accept it is fraud and that your son is not to blame, then he will get the money back.
the same thing just happened to my friend. Yes if his card was cloned and fraud has been committed the bank will start investigations. It takes them 2-3 weeks to process a refund as they have to make sure the money is definately fraudelent.

As he is a victim of fraud he will get his money back even if he doesnt have insurance. Its part of the banking code
