Anyone use them ?.....i have been dealing with cash only for a year or so now due to bad credit but i need to occasionally pay stuff over the phone or buy things online.

I've seen one pre-pay debit card and it costs 10 to get one....everything else is free after that.

Do most high street banks do them or where else could i get one from.

Thanks in advance

Which card are you looking at? There is a lot of them out there, all with different charges:

They are excellent for people like yourself, if you use them where a card payment is essential such as online.

Be careful you are not racking up the fees though.

Be aware that you do not get the purchase protection that you get with credit cards, so if things go wrong you are on your own.
iv had an excellent one for a year now, costs 10 to start and 5 renewal every year witch they do automaticly. Its with Talk sport the radio station. You can put anything up to 600 atime on it.Shops, online on phone .Top up at any postoffice .chip and pin same as any card, carries the maestro logo.Visit . www.talksportcard.co.uk .Fill out the online form and its done comes in a week or so.But you will have to pay for it on line ,but you could get it by posting a postal order ,just takes longer thats all. .
Hi Hammer, I've got a talksport card but I think they are not accepting new applications. If you want comparisons try googling prepaid debit card and u will get a comparison site.

I use mine mainly for ebay and its ideal, top up at the post office and its on your card within 24 hours
bit late but , I have a prepaid debit card with lastminute.com cost nothing and did it all over the internet and was here in days. check out the web site its all on there.
