My daughter is due back from Ireland with euros she's earned (cash). Should she change to sterling there or when she's in UK? Thanks

Well the Post Office buying rate for euros is currently 1.62 euros buys 1. That's not a very good rate

Marks and Spencer is 1.53, which is good. You can do better in a few places, but not many

She will need to look in Ireland and see what the rate is there and then decide.

Remember these rates will vary a little from day to day.
It's generally a bad idea to change them at all. If she works in Ireland regularly and get's paid in Euro's why not get a Euro account and use that money when in the Euro zone.

She needs to transfer some money into her Graduate account in UK but although she has an Irish Bank Account the charges for transferring money to a Uk bank and from Euros to Sterling are horrendous. She also gets charged for all transactions she makes so is tending to keep hold of the cash.

Thanks
