Always remember:"You only get what you pay for" so stick to Well-known Companies like Norwich Union,Prudential or Direct Line.
CIS treats its customers fairly and gives discounts online.Try an online quote but be prepared to pay a little bit extra than some flybynights .
I use More Than, they are reasonably priced and cover quite a lot for your money, they also have reasonable add ons, freezer food etc. And they pay out quick when you claim and you can talk to someone in the UK if you have to
ive had norwich union for years and made a claim this year for 200, when my renewal came in it had gone up to nearly 700 nearly 3 times as much as usual!

We have used pearl for years (though I think its been taken over by Lloyds or someone now) We got burgled a couple of months ago and they were brilliant. They paid out for everything including a few items that we couldnt find the receipts for (I could prove we had had the items with photos etc but they said it wasnt necessary) The customer service was fantastic and they kept us informed all the way of everything going on. We pay just under 14 a month and are insured for up to 50,000. Also when I had a compensation claim in for an accident my son had they liaised with the claims dept for all the court costs should we have lost.

thanks all, looks like I will have to check out quite a few. but I will stick to main brands and also ahve a loko at Pearl :-)
NFU for me. I can see their office in Penrith from my window and there's real people there to speak to. Had a claim within a month of taking the policy out and they paid up without question. Had problems with Norwich Union who would only insure a ring if I was either wearing it or had it on my body (??? what, round my neck) and Axa who I wouldn't touch with a bargepole.
Don't EVER forget to read the small print!!!!
