Here is a list of all mortgage providers in the Uk. I would opt for a mortgage over a loan as they are flexible.
Use the mortgage calculator to work out your repayments according to the rate % being quoted.

I just entered the details you give into Moneysupemarket.com and they say there is not a mortgage that meets your criteria. They do however give a phone number where you can speak to one of their advisors 0845 345 5705. Go into the website and have a look. You may be able to provide more precise information. If they do find a product for you their fee is 195, paid after completion. A straight loan might be diffcult to find as you do not have the house a security at this stage, as you would have with a mortgage.

Now forced into position of buying a house I was born in over 50years ago and might I add have paid for over and over again in rent. I would never have done so if I could look forward to a retirement where I would be able to pay rent and be able to look after myself without having to go begging to Government for handouts. This is a house where most of repairs have also been done by myself and improvments also. I worked hard to do so .
In an ideal world I would never have put myself in this position but thats life I have shed many tears over this decision but sadly I am having to rreview my long held principles to look after ME and not ask others to do so,
