I have business broadband on a line which was used initally for purely a fax machine, since a got broadband on that line I pay for the line rental plus the cost of the broadband on top. (two bills)
So it is costing me !40 approx per quarter just to get broadband - I only spend 2 in faxes per quarter. I have also ordered the cheapest business broadband package with no extras. Should I be getting two bills totaling 140??
you need a phone line to get the broadband down, so you should be paying 10.50 per month for line rental for that line, plus whatever the broadband charge is. if your broadband supplier is not B.T. then you will get two bills.
It's worth investigating packages other than BT. Like you I used to have a separate BT business line but I replaced this with ntl broadband and have a separate cable, which I don't have to ren from BT. I am sure many of the all-in-one packages that now offer broadband, phone over internet (VOIP or voice-over IP), mobile phone etc etc must be worth looking at. Anyone using these?
not an answer to your problem, but v o i p is just like SKYPE, o.k. most of the time, but it is like using a mobile phone, sometimes good, sometimes iffy, not the way to be talking to customers. forgot to mention earlier reply, fax on the internet is good, but don't use tiscali, as you can wait an hour for the fax to arrive at busy times i.e. 8 til 9 am, when all the office kids are logging in to their private e-mail box's, and the same about 4 to 6 pm when they arrive home and switch on.
