tax credit laughable

This tax system in place was to help lone families or people on low incomes wich was a good idea. I work a 45 hour week and have worked all my life and pay very high taxes each week wich i do not mind, as long as it is not being abused. On my side of the family my brother inlaw has nothing wrong with him has not worked for 16 years,to stop the unemployment harassing him his partner went and found work for 16 hours aweek and started to claim tax credits he no longer has to sign on and this is great for LABOUR as he is one of the hidden unemployed and sits at home all day watching tv and drinking beer or on skype lol.
when 2 people share a house i think that they should look at the second individual and say to them that you have you work for the other remaining 3 days, in my area where i live i no 20 people that are doing this.
If a person who claims this tax credit each year has to have there income assesed to get this, then so should the employer aswell. The indland revenue should look at the employers total profits for the year and if he has gone passed a guide line then the employer should have to pay back the tax credits for the person who is claiming this at that time.In my area most companies are keeping to the miniumum wage because they no that there is this tax credits in place and most of these companies are very large with large profits,i feel that this is a total abuse of the system. The money that this so called labour goverment could save on this by companies paying this back each year could go to the real needy eg pensioners and not the greedy.

Some of them live better and have more expensive items than I have and I have worked all my life.It is a total abuse of the system with quiet a lot of claiments.
what about the small companies that make a decent profit by the hard work of the directors rather than say a single mum who can only work 16 hours a week and is just an office juinor or something?
I can see why you are saying that youd like companies to be more responsible but I certainly wouldnt up the wage of an office junior to a higher level than a sales person purely because they were on tax credits.
a wage should only reflect what a person contributes to a company's profits. And what would happen if a company made a loss compared to the previous year? can they lower wages in line with that, no but they can make people redundant, thus adding to the unemployemtn figures again.
All very complicated isnt it. The simple answer is to make it harder for people to abuse the system, sadly Labour make it too easy

why is it we only ever talk about the people who supposedly have baby after baby to get a council house and live off the state, how about the people who do have children but dont claim any money because they do work hard to make a good home for their children, not all one parent families are leeches on society
hi all not all people are leachesand young girls just to get council houses some people who have had partners and ended up divored on this tax credits have no choice and need this so they can get there money topped up and work hours to suit there needsI agree some mothers and farthers are not on it.
I do feel that companies are getting the better deal and if a standard was in place then between a office junior and a qualified person then there should be a level to a amount that they have to pay back some aswell as small companies.
and if that company never passed there profit guidlines then they do not have to pay a penny.
thanks for replies
