my girlfriend has a student barclay card with a �500 limit its maxed up every month. she pays minimum amount then spends it again.ive heard of switching cards 2 avoid interest how do you do this and what does it entail etc?

Hey Jammy,

I would advise to check out Martin's Money Tips. He goes through everything in minute detail.

You have to be really well organised to do this tho so if your friend isn't I wouldn't suggest it.

thamks for the advice guys . does she have 2 pay off barclays or can she transfer it 2 another card how do u do this? i know i sound thick but ive never had credit before

Well Jammy .....1) the real Jamie Carragher is married and 2) It's pretty likely he would have an accountant and wouldn't post such a question online.

Spending money you don't have means that it will come back and bite your ass off taking the interest value with it NOTHING is FREE
