NHS smoking ban 'flouted daily'
All hospitals were supposed to be smoke-free since 2006. Researchers spoke to three quarters of hospital trusts; two thirds reported that the ban was broken daily. There is not supposed to be any smoking on hospital grounds, this includes no smoking in car parks. Half of the hospitals allowed for some exemptions for example those who are bereaved. What do you think? Is an odd cigarette on hospital grounds that bad?

I do have to say though that if they make the inpatients go off hospital property to smoke then they risk them bringing back in infections etc. I think they should provide shelters in one or two places in the grounds for inpatients/outpatients but not for visitors.
How the hell does it hurt anybody having a fag in a carpark..?
