I want to get a mortgage with girlfriend but she isnt on the electoral role

She has lived with me for 2 years and i have kept forgetting to put her down as living with me.Her mum took her off as living with her about a year ago.We want to move and get a joint mortgage,will this affect anything if so what do i do?

The biggest reason for being turned down for credit in general (especially credit cards and loans) is for not being on electoral role.
Bear in mind that the registration form comes through every year and states that it is a criminal offence not to register people, you can understand why banks will not be over happy to lend.
If you have sufficient deposit and incomes then you still will be able to get a mortgage, but you will in all likelihood be paying a slightly higher rate.
