Good Morning
I am off to Dublin next weekend and with the Euro being to low I wondered could anyone advise whether I am best to buy Euros before I go or withdraw when there from a cash machine?
thanks
Joannie Be careful if you use your cash card not only will you get a similar rate of exchange but may have to pay a fee too. The PO usually offer competitive exchange rates.
Hope you enjoy Dublin
It depends what card you have - for example a Nationwide card will have no fees and its exchange rate will be around 5% better than the Post Office - who incidentally do NOT have particularly competitive rates (well it depends on who you compare them with, they are by no means the worst).
The combined fees/exchange rate on the worst cards (eg Lloyds) will still be no worse overall than you'd do at the Post Office.
