Export From Windows Explorer To Excel or Word
7 Answers
Hi all,
After some advice here :
Is it possible to export the names of all the sub folders & files contained within a master folder into Excel or Word ??
I don't want to copy the contents - I just want to export what I see in Windows Explorer into either Word or Excel.
I know I could use screen dumps but wondered if anyone knows of a better way I could do this ??

What I really want to do is export the contents of one master folder, which contains subfolders (and some subfolders contain more subfolders and so on) and files
into Excel - so I can see the contents on one sheet.
Ideally, I would want to see all the file names, their paths and the size of each file
Will I be able to do this with stratopoint ??
Thanks.

Hmm, not too sure, I haven't used the software since I moved to a Mac, as far as I remember it outputs to a .txt file so you should be able to import that to Excel, it certainly allows you to display full file paths and sizes. It's very small, very simple and free so I'd suggest just giving it a go.
Hey all,
Many thanks for your input.
beso - this software is the dogs nads - does exactly what I wanted - ACE !! Cheers !!
Fitzer & ACtheTroll- the software actually has the functionality to save the output file as a tab delimited file which is a breeze to import into Excel - COOL
Thanks again peeps - AB comes up with the goods once more.
All the best
