I was wondering, if I take out a credit card and pay the balance in full every month, will I be changed interest? I was thinking of taking out a credit card with rewards. I want the rewards but I don't want to be charged interest! I know there are 0% credit cards but they don't tend to have any decent rewards. I can afford to pay the card off in full every month.
Go for it Rachmc, but just be careful of the add-ons they will sell such as payment protection etc. Trust me I have 2 policies on my cards, they sell them at a very cheap rate, which makes them tempting! However if your balance is nil you dont need any protection (makes sense eh?)
Depending what sort of rewards you want, Lloyds tsb offer air miles which you can use for everything from holidays to days out, look at one of the money websites sites to help you choose. With the what SupaAbzyBall said about payment protection as long as you have cover elsewhere thats fine read the policy befor you sign it to make sure you will be covered if you have a nil balance you dont pay for it you only pay for it if you use the card.
Pretty much any card charges nothing if you repay it each month. As long as the borrowing is not cash withdrawals. The 0% offer is no good to you it's only useful for balance transfers. So if you are in the position of paying it off each month you can shop around for the best reward deals.
