i have a credit score of only 445 and have 3 judgements and a bankruptcy. this is due to divorce. I make excellent money and am ;in the process of repairing my credit. I would like to find any available financing at any interest and then refinance in one year with a good payment history. Are there any banks that will loan to me?-

Is your bankrupcy discharged - if not you will not get a loan from any main stream bank. If you are discharged you will still find it very difficult if you are not a home owner. You would be better off at looking at a finance company rather than a bank - check out your local papers / directories. PLease also note that just because you have one years worth of payment history, the banks will probably not want to deal with you still. CCJs and bankruptcy orders will remain on your credit file for 6 years. How much are you looking at borrowing and over what sort of period - and are you a homeowner?

my bankruptcy has been discharged in 1999 but there have been no positive things added to my credit since. Only negative things due to my husband ruining my credit again. I do own my home and it has a mortgage now, but the loan is in my husbands name and he is also on the deed to the house.
If the house is purely in your husbands name, unfortunately he will be the one who would be able to try and get an equity release loan as rox suggested. On your own, since you were once made bankrupt and say that your payment history has not been good since, you would be very hard pushed to find any lender to lend you money. I am afraid if your husband will not take out a loan in his name (if available) then it would either have to be loan sharks (NOT recommended) or save up and wait to buy the product / service you want /need.
