i have found a refuge assurance co ltd child endowment assurance with profits policie in my late mothers papers the policie was taken out in 1958 and the term was 20 years will it be of any value

Agree with bednobs. You need to contact the comapany- I think they've been sold on though.

Refuge Assurance were merged with some other company to form United Assurance Group which in turn was taken over by Royal London Mutual Assurance in 2000, apparently.The last-named ought to honour policies of Refuge Assurance, subject to the terms of the policies.
